Ranga Nadig, PhD, president of Maarky Thermal Systems since 2011, has more than three decades of experience in thermal and mechanical engineering. In addition to his professional background, Dr. Ranga Nadig is also an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
For more than 135 years, the ASME has connected professionals with the goal of fostering collaboration and developing a vast knowledge base across all engineering disciplines. Responding to a growing gap in the number of students pursuing academic and career paths in STEM-related fields, the ASME Foundation launched the INSPIRE digital platform in 2014 to bring high-quality learning resources to middle and high school-aged students.
Comprised of 16 interactive learning modules, the ASME INSPIRE program introduces students to STEM-related concepts such as basic coding and real-world applications of algebra. Since it was launched, word about the ASME INSPIRE platform has spread to more than 569 schools throughout 39 states and has reached over 21,000 students, which is nearly double the goal set by ASME organizers for the first year. The INSPIRE platform is fully funded by the ASME Foundation for its first three years, ensuring that all educational institutions across the country have access to the program at no cost.
